STEPS:
End-of-Semester Procedures
Pearson has four “buckets,” which are repositories for grades:
S1: the semester grade bucket, where teachers enter the grades for classwork
E1: the final exam bucket
C1: the End-of-Course bucket (Only classes with EOCs need worry about this bucket, but it’ll be there in your grade book)
F1: the Final Average bucket, calculated from the two (or three) grades above
DATES ARE CRUCIAL
S1: August 6-December 30
*C1: December 31-January 1
*E1: January 2-3
*DO NOT ENTER THE DAYS YOU ACTUALLY ADMINISTER THE EXAMS OR EOCs AS THE DUE DATES
F1: August 6-January 3
How to enter Exam Grades:
Under the reporting term E1, create a new assignment (just as you’ve done for classwork under S1 all semester) by clicking on the + at the top of the grade column
Name: Final Exam
Abbreviation: Final Exam
Category: Test (You may have made your own category)
Score Type: Points or Percentage or Letter Grade
Points Possible: 100
Extra Points: Optional
*MAKE SURE THE DUE DATE IS JANUARY 2 OR JANUARY 3
Leave all other options at their default value.
SAVE the new Final Exam Assignment
Enter Final Exam grade in the new column
How to enter End-of-Course Grades:
Under the reporting term C1, create a new assignment (just as you’ve done for classwork under S1 all semester) by clicking on the + at the top of the grade column
Name: End of Course Test
Abbreviation: EOC
Category: Test (You may have made your own category)
Score Type: Points or Percentage or Letter Grade
Points Possible: 100
