The GED test offers adults who left school an opportunity to continue their education. Students must demonstrate major skills in different test covering five major subject areas:
- Language Arts: Writing
- Language Arts: Reading
- Social Studies
- Mathematics
- Science
Among the many benefits of the GED program, it provides a chance for teh adult to pass the exam and achieve this diploma. Ninety-five (95) percent of U.S. colleges and universities accept GED graduates who meet their other qualifications for admission. The GED diploma documents that you have high school-level academic skills. About 96 percent of employers accept the GED as equal to a traditional high school diploma.
If you are considering leaving high school, the GED Testing Service recommends that you first meet with your high school counselor to talk seriously about your decision and teh level of academic skill needed to pass the GED test.
