TODAY IS   

Cheatham County's slogan says it all.  It speaks of its well-maintained neighborhoods, low crime rate, strong law enforcement, ambulance service, fire protection, affordable housing and its commitment to an excellent educational system.  Located in the green rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, Cheatham County is surrounded by the Cumberland and Harpeth rivers.  The luxuries of metropolitan life are just minutes away, with downtown Nashville being just southeast of the county.

Education is top priority in Cheatham County.  Dedication to the school system is evident everywhere, from teachers to parents to members of the community.  This, combined with the small-town feel and close-knit community, truly makes Cheatham County a great place to educate a child!

Worksession Rescheduled!

The Cheatham County Board of Education worksession scheduled for Thursday, May 15th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the BOE Annex Building.

New Cheatham County Board of Education Website now Online !

The Cheatham County Board of Education is proud to release a modern and crisp new website that is more visually appealing and that is easier to navigate and find the information you seek. Communication with parents, students and staff is very important to us, so we have designed our new website to give you better access to the general information you would expect; but soon you will have the capacity to submit your comments and complete regular surveys online on matters that most concern you. We are also introducing several new features on our site, including a section to see the latest news from your child's school, capacity for more video and/or podcast media content, and better access to information from our various departments and schools (i.e. Transporation, Food Services, Ashland City Elem, Sycamore High, etc). "Pardon our dust" as a few elements are still under construction, but come back soon to see what has been added or updated.

What's NEWS in our School System?

Ashland City Elementary School The 3rd and 4th Grades will present their Music Program "Tennessee Music, Memories and More" on May 15th at 7:00 pm in the ACE Gym. The Kindergarten, T-1 and Pre-K classes will have theire Field Day Activities on Friday, May 16 from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Our School Spirit Day is May 16th. Click Here for ACE website.

Pegram Elementary School Students in 3rd & 4th grade will be finishing the TCAP on Monday, 21st. Our Kindergarten program will be on Tuesday, April 22nd @ 8:30 am and 6:30 pm. Kindergarten Registration will be 4/28-5/3. Our Round-up will be Sat, 5/3. There will be tours of the building, bus rides, freebies and fun. West Cheatham Elementary School West Cheatham is celebrating its 40th anniversary this month. We are having an OPEN HOUSE on Sunday, April 27th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. All former teachers, staff members, students and parents are welcome to come and "see how we've grown".
